FREEDOM FROM THE BONDAGE OF SIN

1. STILLNESS

I presented my body as living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God

I asked God to sanctify me spirit, soul and body

I declare I belong to Jacob's generation because I always seek God's face and pursue Him first above all things. 

I prayed the Mind and Body prayer

I prayed the Morning Prayer

I used the worshing song "it is You, I will run to You" while singing in the spirit and praying in tongues.

2. Vision

I asked the Holy Spirit to reveal to me the revelation of Jesus

I claimed seeing Jesus as He is at the throne,  Acts 2:25

I claimed I'm seated with Him in the heavenly places,  Eph. 2:6

3. SPONTANEITY

While praying, the Lord reminded me of the verse I read yesterday, 2 Cor 3:17

"Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty."

In my own interpretation I thought this means people must experience the move of the Holy Spirit physically to gain freedom from bondage and sin. But the Lord lead me to read it again and He clarified this verse. 

He dwells in us and He transforms our hearts liberating us from condemnation and bondage of sin. Through the Holy Spirit I can live with confidence and in righteousness. And I must see other people through the eyes of Jesus that they need the same liberation from the bondage of sin.

I asked the Holy Spirit to guide me through my day and help me be sensitive to His leading.

• Prayed in tongues before, during, and after worship.

• Presented my body as a living sacrifice before God.

2. VISION / REFLECTION

• I claimed Acts 2:25: “I saw the Lord always before me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”

• The Lord reminded me that He is my Rock—steadfast, unchanging, and my source of strength.

• I felt His call to not be offended, scared, or worrysome when corrections are needed in my life. Instead, I am reminded to embrace these moments as part of His plan to mold me into the eagle He wants me to become.

3. SPONTANEITY

• Today’s Verse:

“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” – Isaiah 40:31

• This verse inspires me to trust in God’s refining process. He uses challenges and corrections not to break me but to strengthen me, preparing me to soar above the storms of life with grace and purpose.

4. JOURNAL #7

Today, I reflect on the eagle, soaring high and unshaken by the winds below. God reminds me that I am called to rise above offenses, fears, and worries. His correction is not rejection; it is His way of shaping me into His design.

I should not be afraid of mistakes or changes but see them as opportunities to grow closer to Him. To become the eagle He desires, I must fully trust in His wisdom, resting on the truth that He is my Rock, my foundation, and my guide.

RAPTURE

 

FIGHT THE RIGHT FOE

 

 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh.

- 2 Corinthians 10:3

Do you know why so many believers are losing the battles in their lives?

They're fighting the wrong enemy!

They've been deceived into believing that just because a person said or did something to hurt them, that person is the one they need to fight. But they're wrong.

You see, the Bible says we don't wrestle with flesh and blood. And since people are definitely flesh and blood, they're never the source of our problem.

"But, Brother Copeland, you just don't know what So-and-so did to me!"

It doesn't matter. If you waste your time fighting So-and-so, your real enemy will get away scot-free.

Who is that real enemy? Look at Ephesians 6:12, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

Satan and his demons. They are your lifelong enemies! They are behind every personal affront you encounter.

The people who hurt you and persecute you are only Satan's tools. When he wants to strike out at you, he uses them to get the job done.

Remember this: Persecution is not the manifestation of another person's hate for you. It's a manifestation of Satan's fear of you. When you get into the Word and start swinging it around—using it like the sword of the Spirit it is—he gets scared. So he looks for some person he can send in there to stop you.

Next time someone hurts you, don't let yourself get sidetracked into fighting them. Bind the spirit behind them. Put flesh-and-blood battles behind and war with the weapons of the Spirit. Zero in on Satan with authority and the Word of God and bring your real enemy down!

Take Your Place

[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection. - Philippians 3:10, The Amplified Bible

The more you fellowship with God around His Word, the more you’ll know the “power outflowing from His resurrection.” You’ll develop joy. You’ll develop faith. You’ll start developing God’s own characteristics...just by fellowshiping with Him. You’ll begin to understand who you really are in Jesus. I remember one day I was reading the story of the woman with the issue of blood who touched the hem of Jesus’ garment and was healed. I’d read the story many times and pictured myself as almost everyone in the story, just experiencing how it would feel to be someone in the crowd or even the one who was healed. Suddenly God spoke to my spirit and said, Read that again and this time picture yourself as the one wearing the garment. I was stunned. “Lord,” I said, “how can I do that? I can’t take Your place!” That’s just what’s wrong with the Body of Christ, He told me. That’s the reason the world doesn’t know anything about Jesus. You identify with everyone except Me. But I sent you to be My witnesses, to imitate Me, to stand in My place...not everyone else’s! So, I read that story again. This time I pictured myself in the role of the one with the Anointing of the Holy Ghost. Instead of crawling up to touch the hem of His garment, I was the one wearing the garment, freely giving what God had given me. After all, the Bible does say, “Clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ.” Do you know who scares the devil most of all? Believers who’ve found out they can do that. Believers who, instead of begging for a little touch from Jesus, are letting His very life flow out to others. Come on, give the devil a scare. Fellowship with your Father around the Word and start discovering who you really are today.

Obedience: No Small Thing

But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great. - Luke 6:49

Do you ever have seasons in your life when it seems like every time you go to church and every time you spend time in prayer and every time you open the Bible, you receive a revelation from God? I do. Spiritually, everything will be going great. I’ll be higher than a Georgia pine. Then, suddenly, something starts to happen. I start drying up in spiritual things. It seems like it doesn’t make any difference what I pray or how much I read the Word, I can’t get anywhere spiritually. I’m so dry my spirit’s creaking! That used to baffle me. I didn’t know what the cause was. I didn’t have any sin in my life. I’d taken care of that. I was still praying. Still meditating. Still acting on and confessing the Word. But instead of getting results, I was getting nowhere. I’d stand in front of my mirror and confess faith over and over again and the only thing that happened was that my voice got tired! If that’s ever happened to you, may I make a suggestion? Backtrack and find the last thing God told you to do that you didn’t do—and do it! It’s probably nothing big. Just a seemingly small thing. But, believe me, those minor disobediences will dry up the flow of the Spirit just like the major ones will. Most of us don’t realize that. We’ll get on our knees and say, “Oh Lord, I want to go to China for You. I’ll go to Africa. I’ll go to Russia.” But when God says, Go next door, we just shrug it off. “I can’t do that,” we’ll say. “That guy next door doesn’t like me. Besides, I want to be like Brother Schambach and get a big tent.” If you’ve done something like that, repent. Then pick up where you left off and do what God directed. And from now on, remember, no matter how insignificant God’s instructions may seem, obeying them is no small thing! It’s those simple acts of obedience that will make your spiritual house stand...or fall. All the small things combined become the direction of our lives.

RIVERS OF FAITHFULNESS

 

Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, “Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.” (When he said “living water,” he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him.)

John 7:38–39 NLT

In 2 Corinthians 5:21, the apostle Paul tells us, “For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ” (NLT). Jesus has borne the responsibility of sin entirely on our behalf. That truth displays God’s faithfulness, which is a fruit of the Spirit. The strength of faithfulness is that its origin is in God. It’s His faithfulness—not my own—that sustains me. It’s not that I am faithful to Jesus but that Jesus is entirely faithful to me. And He is entirely faithful to you. This is evidenced by His Spirit in us, pouring forth “rivers of living water” (John 7:38) that refresh our souls.

What an invitation! To relax upon the “rivers of living water” is to rest from our work and yet still be moving. We are progressing by the river’s power. Faithfulness, then, is the substance upon which we rest (see Hebrews 11:1). Jesus’ faithful work on the cross made us alive together with Him (see Colossians 2:13). His faithfulness freed us from sin and made us children of God! It’s in being who we are—God’s children—that we reflect our Father’s faithful nature.

What about the responsibilities of life that rush all around?   I relate to Martha who had her own sink full of dirty dishes to clean. Jesus said, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things” (Luke 10:41 NKJV). On the other hand, her sister Mary was praised for choosing the good part—the sitting-at-Jesus’-feet part. The good news is the Spirit’s indwelling empowers us to be Mary and Martha at the same time.

Jesus said, “It is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate (the Spirit) won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send Him to you” (John 16:7 NLT). Jesus baptizes us with His Spirit, gracing us with the ability to sit at His feet while we wash the dishes! Both are possible because “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me” (Galatians 2:20). Our union with Jesus enables us to work faithfully while also resting in His faithful work! This is the power of relaxing in the river of living faithfulness that is His Spirit in and through us.

Prayer

Thank You for Your faithfulness, Jesus. You are the strong and dependable One in this relationship! Holy Spirit, please remind me of God’s faithful love. I choose to relax in receiving the Spirit that You pour into me and through me. Thank You that I am empowered to progress in life by the current of Your living water. In relaxing, I worship You. I trust You! I sit at Your feet and behold You, even as I meet the demands of life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Activation

• Spend some time purposely relaxing. Get comfortable. Set your head back on the couch. Turn the eyes of your heart to God. Ask Jesus to pour His Spirit into and through you like living water. As you breathe, rest in the reality of His power carrying you. What does the Holy Spirit want to say to you about this?
• What responsibilities worry and trouble you? Decide to approach those demands with a heart turned toward Jesus. Choose to worship God by “sitting at His feet” as you do your work. In what way does this inner awareness change the burden of the job?
